Employee Benefits Consultant

Our client, a dynamic Financial Services Provider Sandton seeks to employ an Employee Benefits Consultant based in Sandton

Duties : 

Responsibilities

• The incumbent will  be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients
• Stand-Alone and Umbrella Funds

The key responsibilities will include the following :

 Assisting the Principal Consultant in managing and retaining a portfolio of clients and ensuring deliveries in terms of the Company'''' ''''s standards

• Supervision of junior consultant
• Provision of employee benefits, investment, governance and compliance and risk advice
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with clients
• Attend to and resolve problems of clients and members
• Proactively identify client issues and solutions
• Conducting presentations and workshops for clients
• Successfully manage assigned projects as and when required
• Generate profitability and new business for the company
• Monitoring of fees including but not limited to ensuring that the correct fees are being charged and that work outside of the retainer is billed for
• Attend trustee meetings and ensuring that the agendas are drafted, accurate minutes are taken and matters arising from the meeting are actioned timeously
• Administration including but not limited to ensuring statutory deadlines are et, conducting market tests managing the overall administration of funds, compiliation and distribution of member communication etc
• Monitoring and act as the interface between the clients and its service providers

Requirements

• B Com (Econometrics, Investments, Finance etc) or LLB
• Passed RE5 Examinations
• FAIS Compliant
• CFP (An advantage)
• Ability to handle pressure

Experience

• At least 3 years'''' Employee Benefits Consulting Experience
• Strong knowledge of the Employee Benefits Industry
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Problem solving
• Ability to multi-task and delegate where appropriate
