Electronics Technician

Our client has reached a point where expansion is necessary due to ever increasing demand for their products by large automotive and industrial companies. They are willing to train / improve existing skills, such as soldering, if you meet their other requirements best.

POSITION INFO:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work as part of the hardware division of an R+D company performing a wide variety of tasks in a team.

Possible tasks include:

• Electronics: soldering (mainly SMD), fault-finding, testing, and documentation thereof.
• Store management: keeping stock and making kits of circuit components, signing out general electronic equipment, etc.
• Assembly of products, and prepping them for shipment overseas

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid SA driving licence and own reliable transport (must have own vehicle) – they reimburse travel costs for traveling to suppliers.
• Excellent work ethics, punctual, enthusiastic and willing to learn
• At least 1 year of soldering experience as an electronic technician
• PC literacy
• High level of dexterity with hands and good eyesight (for delicate work)
• Ability to work without constant supervision and micromanagement
• Patience for repetitive tasks
• Certificate / diploma qualification is beneficial

COVID CONSIDERATIONS

• This position entails coming into the office every day, likely with at least one other team member. 
• Over 90% of their company is working from home, although occasionally someone will pick something up or drop it off.
• The office is well ventilated, sanitizing methods at each desk, masks worn at all times, social distancing enforced.
