Electronic Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
Exceptional electronics company on the lookout for an Electronics Design Engineer to design electronic boards for products to meet the form, fit, and function while maintaining manufacturing ability and minimizing costs. Work in an environment that requires you to take responsibility for all aspects of your projects.

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

• Design electronic circuit boards and systems for products and test equipment using CAD whilst being effective and creating innovative solutions for complex problems
• Work in partnership with the development team and quality management to ensure designs are feasible and meet the required standards set by customers;
• Test and verify that all designs work according to defined specifications;
• Select the optimal components and manufacturing processes;
• Ensure that all outputs in terms of drawings, CAM files etc. are correctly produced
• Ensure that designs are certified
• Collaborate closely with the Industrial and Mechanical designers on the aesthetics of the final products;
• Develop and build prototypes to test and measure form, fit, and function;
• Record and evaluate testing data, altering designs as necessary to bring them to performance and efficiency standards;
• Maintain document revision control at all times;
• Collaborate with Procurement and Finance for component cost estimates and costing of the final product;
• Arrange and conduct regular project update meetings with the Managing Director;
• Interact with Engineering and Production to understand difficulties experienced during manufacturing;
• Compliance with the Quality Management System;
• Compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental policies.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering;

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electronic design;
• In-depth knowledge of Eagle CAD, Fusion 360, and/or other electrical and mechanical CAD software;
• Experience in aerospace or other standards and process-driven industries;
• Investigative mind inclined toward developing practical solutions to real-world problems;
• Impeccable attention to detail;
• Ability to plan, schedule, collaborate, and problem-solve effectively;
