Job Position: Electrician / Millwright

Salary: R24 000 to R28 000 per month + Provident fund and medical aid

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician or Millwright with Trade Certificate at recognized /accredited institution
• Valid Driver’s License Code EB (08) with own reliable transport
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience as an Electrician/Millwright in a manufacturing environment
• HT Experience highly advantageous
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows System Other Skills / Competencies
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
• Planning, leading and organisational abilities
• Independent, proactive thinking, motivated and have the ability to do own job planning
• Experience with a variety of PLC, drives and industrial instrumentation will be advantageous.
• High level of multi-skilling, including cutting, welding, fitting and rigging
• Electrical construction work and planning thereof

Key Performance Areas:

• Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements
• Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Foreman
• Develop, modify, construct/fabricate and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
• Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure
• Communicate with clients and supervisors on maintenance activities performed and equipment handover
• Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to the Company’s SHE objectives
• Work overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
