Electrician (JHB, Roodepoort) (Solar Industry)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Looking for a qualified Electrician with a 3-phase wireman’s license preferable with a section 13 Red Seal qualification, with Solar experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

vOn grid and Off Grid Project execution. Site analysis for Solar Projects, feasibility check for execution.

vResponsible for technical support required to field force of Solar Team.

vSupport function for channel partners and service team for Solar Projects and Products.

vManage a portfolio of solar plants, ensuring that all works are undertaken in accordance with the agreed contractual scope, efficiently and effectively.

vManage (open/close/update) fault tickets, keeping to contractual obligations and response times.

vLiaise with in-house teams, subcontractors and third parties, and manage the work calendar, ensuring the teams are briefed in a concise, accurate manner.

vEnsure works are organised to maximize performance and safe operation of the plant.

vImplement good H&S best practices and arranging Site Inductions and ensure that all activities are carried out under the approved HSE system and/or in compliance with other industry rules and regulations.

vAssist with other daily requirements and admin activities.

vHelp with the development of company processes.

vStrong fault-finding skills.

vComputer literacy.

vAttention to detail.

vOperate equipment, like drone, electrical data loggers and IR cameras.

vCompile detailed reports.

vFacilitate and process warranty claims.

General:

vYou will have to travel to numerous solar sites to check on the progress of Our company’s installation teams and report back to HQ on your findings.

vLooking for a ops person who has electrical & solar experience.
