MAIN PURPOSE:
Working in a manufacturing-oriented industry where you contribute to the effective and efficient installation, maintaining, and repair of electrical writing of equipment.   
 
EDUCATION SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

• South African Trade tested as an Electrician / Auto Electrician

• Syspro (advantageous)

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools and work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. 
• Place conduit, pipes or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• At all times be medically fit to perform all Electrician/ELWL duties.

• Monitoring and immediate reporting on spares stock shortages.
• Immediately report any abuse / negligence by the operators on any of the equipment.
• Comply with all SHEQ requirements, considering the safety of others

• 3-5 previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• Experience in repairing and maintaining of electronic equipment – servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic principles.
• Experience in underground mining industry equipment operations (advantageous) 

• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 25 kg’s.
• Must be willing to work overtime and attend to callouts when required.
• At all times be medically fit to perform duties.
• Perform any other reasonable duties generated by management not covered in above requirements.
• At all times carry the correct / relevant equipment / tools to do the required site work / services.
