Electrician

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry has an opportunity available for an Electrician to be based in the Allanridge, Free State area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Full N2 qualification or 10 years qualified as an artisan
• Recognized trade test certificate
• Learnership contract / proof of formal training / workbook
• At least two years'' experience on maintaining diesel powered equipment and machinery (Drill Rigs, LHD''s, Bolters, Dump trucks, UVs, LDVs) as an artisan in an underground mine
• English proficiency
• Valid First Aid certificate
• Valid underground occupational medical certificate of fitness or be able to obtain one.
• Must be heat tolerant
• Own transport
• Must be able to pass conveyor belt riding

Responsibilities:

• Safe and effective installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery
• Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the work
• Perform specialized electrical related work on trackless machinery.
• Routine maintenance and repairs
• Do standby and work overtime on weekends where necessary
