EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Qualified Electrical Trade / Millwright Trade Test Certificate

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED &

• Minimum 5 years electrical maintenance experience
• Minimum 3 years electrical project management experience
• Minimum 5 years electrical maintenance experience
• Minimum 3 years electrical project management experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand-tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as conveyors, presses and calenders.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand-tools, power tools, and test equipment
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken equipment and cables using hand-tools.
• Test malfunctioning machinery using test equipment
• Replaces faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices, using hand-tools.
• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.
• Replaces electric motor bearings.
• May plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment
• Maintains appropriate service and repair records.
• Researches, purchases and inventories equipment parts, chemicals and supply.
• Responds to routine an emergency calls for repairs and service
• Make sure that all PM’s checks and Routine checks assigned to you are up to da
• The electrical panels of the machinery assigned to you are your responsibility, so make sure that they are equip with drawings and in a good condition.
• May train and direct the work of other classified staff in the area
• Represent the Engineering group with leading the Gemba process
• Assist in the writing of specifications and repairs to new equipment
• Troubleshoots repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, electric controls, fire alarms and clock systems.
• Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems, including programmable logic controllers.
• Fault finding on AC/DC Drives and PLC’s
