SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a qualified Electrician to inspect, test and maintain electrical infrastructure.

POSITION INFO:

Duties

Carrying out inspections.
Taking meter readings.
Taking oil samples from electrical equipment.
Applying external resources.
Repairing and installing cables and equipment.
Switching load distribution.
Installing new equipment.
Assist Aftercare department.
Providing employees with resources
Developing employees.
Managing employee performance
Plan & implement work schedules.
Ensure safety is adhered to in according with legislation.

Minimum Requirements

N3 qualification, Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Trade Test with Wireman license or Department of Labour regulation 9 registration (Qualified Electrician)
HV Switching Certificate
Code 8 Driver’s Licence
Possess the appropriate exposure to the electrical infrastructure.
The individual must have supervising experience.
2 years’ experience of switching at 11KV and 132 KV. (Advantageous)
3 years relevant experience in HV/MV work
Have clear understanding on the OHS Act (Advantageous)
Prepared to do overtime and stand-by duties
Travel required and preferably with own car for call outs etc.
