Electrician

• The role is responsible for issuing COCs (Certificate of Compliance)
• Responsible for reliability and safety checks
• Responsible for earth leakage inspections
• Signing off on all electrical commissioning completed
• Complying with safety and housekeeping rules & requirements
• Liaising with relevant internal customers/suppliers  

REQUIRED LEARNING

• Minimum N4 – N6 Electrician Qualification
• Red Seal Trade Tested Electrician
• Wiremans License (Registered with the Department of Labour as Installation Electrician)
• Registered to legally issue COCs (Certificate of Compliance)  

REQUIREMENTS

• Own Vehicle & Valid SA driver’s license (Essential)
• Will be required to travel to remote sites in and around Western Cape
• At least 10 years’ experience as maintenance electrician
• Working standby, weekends and overtime when necessary 

KEY JOB OUTPUTS (but not limited to the below)   

•  Travelling to remote sites in and around Western Cape
• Attending to fault finding
• Attending in general to building electrical problems, fault finding and changes
• Responsible for maintenance on all distribution boards, electrical equipment & power factors
• Carrying out planned maintenance
• Ensuring inspections
• Responsible for safety checks
• Responsible for earth leakage inspections
• Signing off on all electrical commissioning completed
• Complying with safety and housekeeping rules & requirements
• Liaising with relevant internal customers/suppliers
