Electrician

SUMMARY:

Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Electrician to join their team based in Cape Town. The purpose of the role is to oversee the installation, render maintenance and service to Electrical equipment & systems.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

• Installation of new electrical equipment across the plant
• Attend to and maintenance of all plant electrical equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring that preventative planned maintenance is performed in a cost-effective way to ensure minimum downtime and product losses.
• Maintenance of electrical networks.
• Fault finding/troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment.
• Construction of new electrical equipment in plant.
• Handle breakdowns in an effective manner/ work without supervision/work under stress.
• Maintain repair and maintenance Logs and Records
• Ensure Health and Safety measures/requirements are met and adhered to.

• Grade 12/N3+ (or equivalent) + Degree in related field
• Must have Wireman’s License - Three Phase
• Minimum of 3 experience in an Industrial environment.
• Expertise with PLC controls a requirement.
• Electrical fault-finding experience.
• Ability to read Electrical Drawings.
