Electrician – Westlake, Cape Town - R22,000-R25,000 per month

Requirements:

Trade Tested Electrician

5 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical installation (not only maintenance/repair)

Bush interview” will be required.  Early July in Botswana for 2 weeks.

Experience of solar power system installation would be an advantage

Ability to work to an exceptionally high installation standard

Potential to lead an on-site team, or work alone on site

Able to work with drawings, detailed spreadsheets, etc.

Able and willing to learn about complex solar/battery/inverter systems

The willingness to do a variety of task outside normal electrician duties, including participating in moving equipment, pulling cables, etc. 

An SA passport, and/or residence status and passport giving the ability to come and go from SA and enter any other African country

Driver’s license

Personal requirements:

Willing to travel regularly and be away up to 2 weeks at a time

Happy to be in the bush – hot / cold / mosquitoes / sometimes staying in tents /

Not scared of flying in light aircraft

No police record, fully vaccinated, etc.
