POSITION INFO:

Electrical/Electronics Engineer – Bellville - Market Related Salary

(Basic Salary, Medical Aid & Provident Fund)

Purpose of Role:

Responsible for the specification, design, drawing, testing and commissioning of electrical and electronic control systems relating to steam and hot water boilers and ancillary equipment, in accordance with national and international standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• Professional registration with ECSA or in process of being registered (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in an industrial control environment
• Minimum 3 years PLC & DCS programming experience (preferably Schneider Unity Pro software)
• Minimum 3 years control loop tuning experience

Requirements:

• Have a better than average academic record, especially in the fields of Electrical, Instrumentation and Automatic controls
• Good understanding of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics
• A good understanding of national and international electrical equipment standards & regulations
• Able to interact with customers at all levels
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English.
• proficient in Excel and Word with exposure to AutoCAD Electrical and EPlan
