Electrical Technician

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Involvement in Projects and commissioning of new equipment
• Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
• Offer technical support to the team
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules
• Application of capital expenditure for small sized projects
• Maintenance, installation, operation, faultfinding and commissioning of Variable Speed Drives: ABB ACS800/ACS880
• Maintenance, installation, operation, faultfinding and commissioning of PLC’s: Siemens S7, ABB AC800M/PEC Controllers
• Maintenance, installation, operation, faultfinding and commissioning of LV motor protection systems (Siemens Simocode, ABB Insum)
• Maintenance, installation, operation, faultfinding and commissioning of MV Switchgear (3.3KV/11KV ABB REM/REF), Recti-formers, Electrostatic Precipitators, UPS, Emergency Generator Control, Soft starters and networking (Ethernet/Profibus).

 

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• S4 /N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy / Light Current)
• Trade Tested Electrician 
• 5 years’ experience as a Technician / Electrician
