SUMMARY:
We are seeking a pro-active, detail-oriented, thorough, and organized project manager to start-up and oversee our solar energy department. The successful candidate must be a qualified electrical engineer (National Diploma/B Tech/Degree) or electrician with a hands-on electrical background and with strong communication skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience in solar and/or sales would be advantageous.

Education & Experience (minimum requirements to perform the job):

Matric and Electrical Engineer Degree/B Tech or similar (must have practical experience)
AND / OR: Qualified Electrician with Wireman’s License (must be excellent communicator) Management Development programme will be advantageous
Valid Unendorsed Code 08 Drivers License
Excellent computer skills (incl. Microsoft)

Experience:

Day-to-day operational and business management
Project Management and Planning
Completing and submission of tenders and quotes
Compiling costing models and budgets
Design work
Managing a team of people
Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, and systems
Excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical design and maintenance
processes
Solar systems and installation experience will be advantageous
Sales experience will be advantageous
