SUMMARY:
A busy steel service centre requires an experienced Projects Estimator to join their dynamic team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12/ equivalent

 Experience and Requirements:

  • 5  or more years related experience as an Estimator in the steel fabrication industry is essential
  • Computer literate on AutoCad and TruTops / Sigmanest software
  • Able to read technical drawings (fabrication drawings)
  • Knowledge of materials and machine abilities in the fabrication industry
  • Able to quote off a fabrication drawing
  • Of sober habits
  • Have a stable work record and contactable references
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Own transport

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with new and existing customers
  • Increase customer base
  • Quoting customers
  • Processing of orders and ensure that drawings / information is correct
  • Managing of projects from beginning until completion
