I am helping a very busy, growing manufacturing organisation in Edinburgh who are looking for an ERP Project Manager, to join in a newly created position.
The company:
The business manufactures a modern material that has performed extremely well in the market and especially since Covid. The company are doing very well financially, and have seen consistent growth over the last four years. The internal IT department has subsequently grown and this new PM role has been born out of that. With so many new projects the company are undertaking, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help scope these out and to liaise with other departments.
The role:
With the busines expanding as they are, the IT department are getting a lot of work requests from the rest of the business. As well as working on IT projects, you will be liaising with other departments and managing their expectations. You will be involved in both business operations and the IT/ERP projects and will be the main IT contact for the rest of the business. From the IT side of things, you will pick up on the ERP projects (they use Epicor), and also areas around development. In 2022/23 the ERP system is moving to the cloud also, so you will play a huge part in the modernising of the business. They are already well on their way for this, utilising API''s that feed into the ERP system, coming from teams that are out and about (delivery''s etc).
The ideal person for this role will be a Project Manager who has experience in updating an ERP system and who is comfortable working across a growing manufacturing business. There are loads of projects to work on and you will be joining a booming company, that has seen massive growth in the last 12 months. They have on site parking and are a five-minute drive from the city centre.
Key Skills and Experience:
**An experienced Project Manager with strong ERP or MRP systems knowledge
** Strong IT operations background
** Strong stakeholder management skills
** Third party management
** Working with and managing VM''s and cloud-based technology
** Leading on the management, security, and analysis of data to enable better and informed decision making
** SQL or relational database knowledge (desirable)
** Experienced in Supply Chain / Manufacturing Management (desirable)
** Integration experience with REST API''s (desirable)
