SUMMARY:
ENGINEERING MANAGER - MODDERFONTEIN

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

ØMatric / Grade 12.

ØBachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

ØIn possession of a Government Certificate of Competency (Factories).

ØMinimum 5 -10 years’ experience in a chemical plant environment and/or a proven track record of engineering leadership experience in the maintenance and project management of large utilities and manufacturing plant.

ØKnowledge of the OHS Act and Explosive Act.

ØExtensive knowledge of project management and stakeholder relations in a multi-disciplinary environment.

ØSound knowledge of the technologies used in the explosives industry.

ØSound knowledge and understanding of contract management and the provision of services.

ØIn-depth knowledge and experience in hazard control and risk assessments.

ØIn-depth knowledge of engineering principles, standards and maintenance management systems (CMMS, SAP PM) in a manufacturing environment.

ØExperience in performance management and people development.

ØIntermediate MS Projects.

REQUIRED OUTPUTS: FUNCTIONAL:

ØMaintenance planning and execution.

ØExecution of strategic engineering projects and change management.

ØDevelop and track maintenance budget.

ØPeople management of external contractors and professional services.

ØLead efforts to ensure continuous business improvement and technical support.

ØEnsure compliance with governance and procedures.

ØEnsure compliance with safety, health and environment standards.
