E&I Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established engineering and project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced E&I Manager to lead Electrical and Instrumentation functions across complex industrial projects.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering activities across projects
• Oversee E&I design, installation, commissioning, and handover
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, statutory regulations, and industry standards
• Review and approve E&I drawings, layouts, schedules, and technical documentation
• Interface with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and risk related to E&I scope
• Drive safety, quality, and performance standards on site and during execution

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng Electrical Engineering (essential)
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in Electrical & Instrumentation within heavy industry, mining, or process plants
• Proven experience in an E&I Manager or Lead E&I Engineer role
• Strong understanding of E&I systems, control philosophy, instrumentation, and automation interfaces
• Experience working on EPC/EPCM projects
• Sound knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations
• Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

• Professional registration (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng or equivalent)
• Experience on mineral processing or industrial plant projects
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
