EE Mechanic Technician (Millwright)

SUMMARY:
Our client, a Durban based manufacturing company, currently seeks a Mechanic Technician (Millwright) to start as soon as possible.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Millwright Trade Test essential.
• Must have 3 to 8 years overall Mechanic Technician experience.
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience working in an FMCG type environment.
• Must have experience maintaining Tube-Sealers, Labellers, and Filling-Machines or similar type of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge and expertise of electrical/mechanical principles during breakdowns, maintenance of machines and daily operation of the manufacturing process.
• Apply welding knowledge and skill during breakdowns, projects, modifications and maintenance.
• Monitor condition of pneumatic and hydraulic systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Stay current with latest technological developments and relevant machinery regulations.
• Analyse wear and tear trends on materials to prevent future breakdowns.
• Understand relationships between various material types, product types and environmental conditions.
