(Contract) EE Furniture Upholsterer Supervisor, Ormonde JHB, Rneg

• Able to start IMMEDIATELY
• 6 – 12-month FIXED TERM CONTRACT

• Grade 12
• 5 – 10 years exp at Supervisory level within Furniture Making
• Experienced UPHOLSTER in FURNITURE & HOME CRAFT
• The person must have very strong upholstering and crafting of furniture and be able to create from scratch

• Supervise and manage a team at a later stage of the project
• o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• o Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• o Highly organized and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment
• o Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team
• o Ability to build effective relationships
• o Competent in problem solving (problem analysis), planning and decision making
• o Employee relations and conflict management skills
• o Able to handle extreme pressure, priorities and multi-task

DUTIES:

• Candidate must be able to measure fabric required for specific furniture
• Must be able to make up own patterns and cut fabric according to pattern.
• Must be able to use industrial upholstery machine and sew/stitch patterns and fabric
• Must be able to reupholster all types of furniture and work with all types of fabric including genuine leather.
