EC & I Site Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Join this leading project based organisation supervising electrical, control and instrumentation installation and commissioning of medium voltage pumping stations.  A relevant formal qualification combined with experience in the design and build environment is essential.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Qualified Electrical Supervisor in the Medium Voltage field.
• Proven work experience as an Electrical Supervisor for Medium Voltage installation.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills. In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate in relevant software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage electrical, control & instrumentation installation and commissioning of medium voltage pumping stations.
• Ensure that the electrical, control & Instrumentation installation of the Pump Station upgrade  is  completed  according  to  the  project  specifications,  in  line  with  the schedule, and in accordance with HSE rules of the project.
• Organise and execute the EC&I pre-commissioning and commissioning checks and tests.
• Oversee the sub-contractors and suppliers on site
• Reading  and  interpreting  design  schematics  to  ensure  the  proper  installation of electrical systems
• Ensure that the installation is according to the client’s specifications.
• Coordinate and follow-up site activities related to EC&I that are under the company scope in accordance with the schedule defined by the Project Manager.
• Ensure quality control of critical activities
• Keep accurate  records  of  site  work  and  installation progress,  in  particular  with regards to man hours spent by the EC&I subcontractor and quantities installed.
• Organise inspections with EC&I subcontractor (internal inspections) and with Client or his representative (external inspections).
• Ensure proper inspection documentation is quickly issued afterwards and dispatched.
• Liaise with the client and maintain good relations at all times Ensure that the area in which work is to be carried out is clean and that only the materials and equipment required for that specific job are in that area
• Ensure the company’s and EC&I sub-contactors’ compliance with Health & Safety
• Update the project manager and the EC&I Engineer on a regular basis as to progress on site
• Maintain sound housekeeping principles and due care of all equipment/assets under your control/care.
• Manage expenses with consideration to the company.
• Raise to the project manager and the EC&I Engineer any event/reason for claiming
• Extension of Time
• Perform all duties to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard 
• Function as part of a Team.
• Ensure total confidentiality of all information, internal and external, pertaining to the business, its Employees and Management.
• Communicate with clients in a professional manner.
