A reputable training and development organisation is seeking an innovative and experienced E-Learning Manager to lead its digital learning strategy and oversee the successful delivery of online programmes. POSITION INFO:
The E-Learning Manager is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s e-learning platform, leading a team of administrators and training coordinators, and driving the development of innovative online learning products. This role ensures seamless delivery of digital programmes, compliance with accreditation standards, and the creation of engaging solutions that expand the training portfolio.
Combining operational oversight of the LMS, leadership of the e-learning support team, and innovation in product design, the incumbent will position the organisation as a leader in digital learning within the national Skills Development landscape
Duties:
E-Learning Platform Management:
- Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and optimisation of the LMS
- Ensure compliance with SETA/QCTO requirements in learner tracking and reporting
- Manage learner registration, enrolment, assessment tracking, and reporting
- Monitor platform performance and user experience, implementing improvements
- Coordinate system upgrades, integrations, and vendor support
E-Learning Team Leadership:
- Manage e-learning administrators supporting LMS functions and administrative tasks
- Lead training coordinators responsible for scheduling and monitoring online classes
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and uphold delivery standards
- Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities for the team
- Facilitate collaboration across project and academy teams
Creative E-Learning Solutions & Content:
- Design and oversee development of interactive, multimedia-rich e-learning courses
- Integrate gamification and modern digital learning practices
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to convert content into digital modules
- Ensure inclusivity, mobile compatibility, and accessibility standards
Research & Innovation:
- Research emerging technologies and global best practices in e-learning
- Benchmark offerings against competitors and international leaders
- Develop proposals for new digital solutions and delivery models
- Pilot innovative tools to improve learner engagement and outcomes
Development of Innovative Products & Short Courses:
- Design and launch short courses aligned with client and market needs
- Ensure compliance with professional development standards
- Collaborate with marketing to package and promote online offerings
- Support customisation of digital solutions for key clients
