SUMMARY:
we looking for Dyno Technician with Diesel engines experience

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Requirements

 

• Min Grade 12 OR N3
• Qualified artisan – trade test pass (diesel fitter / mechanic/ automotive machinist)
• At least 3 years post apprenticeship experience in the field of trade passed
• valid driver’s license (Code EB)

 

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

• To dyno test all engine going through the workshop to ensure performance and quality is in order before releasing to a customer
• To provide an efficient and technically proficient fault diagnostic, service and repair function.
• To provide an efficient and technically proficient engine rebuild function
• To ensure that diesel engines technical and quality standards are adhered to at all times
• To ensure that administrative functions are completed timorously and accurately

 

Specific knowledge required:

 

• Ability to demonstrate the skills and knowledge of his/her trade
• Experience leading to an in-depth understanding of diesel engines  product technical and quality standards
• Ability to meet technical and quality standards
• Basic electrical and electronics knowledge
•  knowledge of the occupational health and safety act
• Computer literacy (micro-soft package, word, and excel)

• Well developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Well developed planning and organizing skills.
• Ability to demonstrate discretion and judgement
• Well-developed decision-making skills.
• Good communication skills – English and Afrikaans language (verbal and written).
• Ability to liaise with customers and resolve problems
