SUMMARY:
The overall objective of the Driver trainer role is to conduct in-cab training, NEW product, and existing product training to clients and Dealers nationwide on Heavy-duty trucks.
POSITION INFO:
- Assist with the preparation and scheduling of training interventions for dealerships and clients.
Provide driver training programs to clients and dealership networks country wide pre and post purchase of vehicles.
- Conduct relevant assessments on professional drivers which include in-cab assessment, benchmark assessments against company requirements/policies (local and long-distance transport).
- Develop and prepare contract specific appendices (including Safe working Procedures and Planned job Observations).
- Report on all training interventions and submit documentation (incl. attendance registers, and driver assessment documentation) on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that vehicle is utilized optimally and to address fuel consumption queries, driving techniques, trouble shooting, technical issues, and other related queries.. - Any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time by management.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS: -- Minimum of 5 years of previous truck driving experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy commercial truck training
- Knowledge of TETA-accredited training requirements would be
- Code EC (14) driver’s license with no endorsements.
- Valid PDP license.
- Must be willing to travel nationwide.
- Must have working knowledge/experience of Scania, DAFF, Volvo, Foton, and Mercedes-Benz manufactured heavy commercial vehicles.
- Basic understanding of service/ and repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills in heavy long-haul trucks.
- Team player
- Familiarity with Mandarin language a plus (as clients may have limited English proficiency)
- Experience working in a company with a Chinese culture (a plus)
- Experience in collaborative working relationships with the various stake holders.
- Clear and concise communication skills in English due to potential language barriers.
- Patience and able to work with staff with limited English proficiency.
