Leader in their field seeks off-shore based Driller to be responsible for mining drilling operations

POSITION INFO:

Leader in their field seeks off-shore based Driller to be responsible for mining drilling operations and related activities to ensure optimum utilization of equipment. West Coast of South Africa and Namibia.

For the position you would be required to have:

• Grade 12 or N3
• Qualified Fitter
• Minimum of 1 year drilling experience
• 35 days on, 35 days off

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Install all types of trade related equipment required.
• Identify spares requirements and confirms the availability of consumables with supervisor.
• Carry out repairs, corrective and preventative maintenance work on equipment.
• Pull and run drill string
• Train, guide, inform and generally counsel
• Optimise movement of the drilling string at all times
• Monitor progress of the ore extraction and adjusts the drilling parameters to suit seabed conditions.
• Adhere to and promote applicable legislation, company safety, security and environmental policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
