Draughtsman (Electro-Mechanical) - Centurion

ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for a draughtsman(electro-mechanical) who can work alongside several specialists in our company. Responsible for creating technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations. Draughtsman will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Drafting diploma / relevant degree from a tertiary institution;

• Experience in computer aided design and drafting;

• Exposure/ experience with Solidworks electrical, experience in the electrical/electronics industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

• Liaise with sale engineers or customers for any information or design changes;

• Modify or create detailed part and assembly drawings on AutoCAD (2D) or Solid Works (3D);

• Modifying or compiling bills of materials on the data system;

• Create general arrangement or layout drawings for customer approval and record;

• Ensuring final design is compliant with harness design;

• Train and provide technical support to trainees and staff;

• Providing engineering support to various departments and with suppliers on new projects;

• Perform milestone quality inspections during the manufacturing process; and

• Perform Quality inspection of delivered parts used in the design.
