SUMMARY:
An internationally established Manufacturing organization based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town has an opportunity available for a suitably qualified Draughtsman to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description of role:

Work with design engineers on machine and product design / improvements
Detailing of engineering parts and assemblies
Draughting of new and existing designs
Draughting of machine and plant layouts
Design and draughting of mechanical routings for machines and plant
Design and draughting of general plant equipment.
Scheduling reviews with design engineers to obtain design and drawing approvals
Accurate record keeping, updating, and general control of all drawings
Issuing of final (approved) drawings of components, assemblies, and plant layouts for manufacturing / purchasing
General tasks as required by your manager

Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12
National Certificate or Diploma in Draughting or related
5-7 yearsâ experience in design detailing and draughting
Proficiency in CAD
Computer literate

Advantageous:

Experience in machine design
Experience in Solid Edge
Product data management experience
