SUMMARY:
An internationally established Manufacturing organization based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town has an opportunity available for a suitably qualified Draughtsman to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description of role:
  • Work with design engineers on machine and product design / improvements
  • Detailing of engineering parts and assemblies
  • Draughting of new and existing designs
  • Draughting of machine and plant layouts
  • Design and draughting of mechanical routings for machines and plant
  • Design and draughting of general plant equipment.
  • Scheduling reviews with design engineers to obtain design and drawing approvals
  • Accurate record keeping, updating, and general control of all drawings
  • Issuing of final (approved) drawings of components, assemblies, and plant layouts for manufacturing / purchasing
  • General tasks as required by your manager

Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • National Certificate or Diploma in Draughting or related
  • 5-7 years’ experience in design detailing and draughting
  • Proficiency in CAD
  • Computer literate
Advantageous:
  • Experience in machine design
  • Experience in Solid Edge
  • Product data management experience
