SUMMARY:
Mechanical and Components Draughtsman_Autocad and Inventor. Our client is a reputable, well-established leader in trailer design, servicing, repair and refurbishment, manufacturer of rigid bodies and trucks situated in the Vaal area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Experience: 2 years'' plus in 3D mechanical parts and components. Trailer and automotive industry experience - preferential.
Qualifications: Any tertiary draughting qualification. N.Dip in mechanical engineering would be preferred. Candidates without qualifications will be gauged based on their experience and portfolio. The candidates should bring if possible a portfolio of work to the interview.
Software: Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook), Nesting software (advantageous), AutoCAD and Inventor (both crucial)
Interview test: Candidates will be required to conduct a test on the software as part of the process

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager
Converting all 2D designs to 3D.
Assist in implementing drawing standards.
Take on complete projects from start to finish.
Assist production as needed.
Create nestings.
Assist with day to day.
Data capturing and filing.
Proper planning and time management - able to function independently when required
Maintain good interdepartmental communication and relations.
