Distribution Supervisor

· Ensure inbound operational procedural compliance and effectiveness (SOP)

o Inbound and outbound SOPs are adhered to

o Execute inbound and outbound plan

o Resource allocation and performance management

o Safe offloading of stock from containers and or trucks / vehicles.

o Stock to be offloaded and checked – physical stock quantities to be recorded on GRD and forwarded to Logistics department for processing / receipting onto Translution – timeline for this is 24 hours from point of receipt.

o Ensure that receiving file is kept up to date and signed off on a weekly basis – complete document to include any supplier documentation, Copy of GRD, Receipt and sign off that it has been checked

o Accurate recording of incoming stock onto GRD

o Ensuring that stock released to production is issued correctly

o Removal permits are completed and filed

Minimum requirements:

· Valid Grade 12 certificate

· Relevant Degree/Diploma would be advantageous

· 5 years’ experience working within a FMCG or wholesale and retail environment

· People leadership and management including planning, organizing, control, staffing

· Knowledge of industrial relations

· Knowledge of stock control (FIFO), stock rotation, stock movement and stock take

· Computer Literacy (Email, intermediate knowledge of Excel)

· Experience, WMS, Isometrix and ESS Time management would be advantageous
