JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client within the Automotive Component Manufacturing sector in East London is seeking a suitably experienced Candidate for their Logistics Department.

This is a Temporary Assignment for a period of 1 - 3 Months, therefore relocation is not a viable option. Please do not apply if you are not already based in the East London area.

Only Candidates residing in the East London area will be considered, and those who meet the following minimum requirements need apply:

  • 2 - 3 years relevant working experience in Data Capturing / Back Office Admin Support, preferably gained within the automotive or logistics environment
  • Grade 12 essential
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook for emails, Waybill and Tracker Sticker Systems and Printers
  • Excellent communication skills as will be liaising with external suppliers and customers; and internal interdepartmental Team Leaders, Supervisors and Managers
  • Ability to work accurately and to strict deadlines without supervision

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

Dispatch:

  • Receive completed Pick Lists from Production
  • Customer liaison, with regard to goods dispatch
  • Liaison between production, technical, logistics and sales
  • Process packing slips and printing invoices when necessary
  • Accurately Dispatch goods
  • Liaise with courier company regarding loads/collections
  • Follow up with courier companies when required regarding “late” deliveries/collections.
  • Investigate reason for non-closure
  • All dispatch documentation
  • Housekeeping of dispatch office
  • Data capture of returnable packaging, counting and checking
  • Complete waybills for transporters
  • Complete tracker stickers for transporters

Logistic Assistant:

  • Generate Purchase orders as per Production requirements
  • Assist accounts payable with queries of delivery notes from suppliers
  • Data capture of orders, fax, email to suppliers
  • Data capture of goods received (GRN VS DN)
  • Ensure stock is located in the respective bin’s by store staff before capturing
  • Booking of collections from suppliers
  • Close, update data required and filing of completed pick tickets
  • Update Head Office Purchase Order
  • Capture Head Office inventory materials when required
  • Update of standard cost on purchased parts

Other:

  • Transfer to Frisi bins, advise & change of default bins
  • Print and clear negative bins
  • Assist with material transfers to Supplier Bin
  • Liaise with stores staff re-part queries
  • Printing of serial numbers for production
  • Lot control sheet – capture, update and check and balances
  • Month End – Ensure all receipts are up to date for Month end

Stocktake:

  • Printing of annual stock take tags for stock counting
  • Capturing annual stock sheets / printing of variance reports
