Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in the manufacturing of Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam.

POSITION INFO:

Short Summary:

The main task of this position is to assist and provide Customer Service to internal and external Customers in the Factory Shop with their purchases on SOILL products and snacks. This also includes all administration, stock orders and cash-up procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing of Factory Shop on time for trading hours.
• Collecting and handing in of cash drawer in Factory Shop.
• Processing Customer payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Assisting internal and external Customers with purchases and informing them of the shop discounts and promotions to encourage sales.
• Restocking depleted or low shop items and ensuring that shelves and fridges are restocked and organized.
• Receiving and processing of all stock in SAP and the POS system.
• Loading direct sales customer orders on the PCS and ensuring correct pricing is loaded.
• Invoicing, posting payments and capturing returns in SAP.
• Counting and balancing cash and card transactions by the end of each day.
• Administering donations as and when necessarily.
• Performing cleaning duties to ensure the Factory Shop is kept clean.
• Addressing and resolving Customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Keeping up to date on product knowledge and recommendations to Customers.

• Minimum of a Grade 12
• Computer Literate
• Literate in Afrikaans and English

• Retail Sales experience is an advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong Organizational Skills
• Detail-orientated and well-ordered
• Strong and able to stand for long periods of time
