Digital Library Technician - 1 year contract

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Digital Technician for a 1 year contract vacancy based in Mdantsane, East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Lower diploma in Librarianship with proven working technical ability regarding sound and audio equipment
• Fluency in more than one language spoken in the Eastern Cape
• Valid driver’s license
• Computer experience – MS Office, Email, Internet
• Candidates who applied in the first advertisement need not re-apply

• Candidates must be resident in Mdantsane area

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Implement and control of all digital recorded and edited audio materials
• Checking work done by narrators – structuring, recording and editing
• Sending through of completed work to audio dept
• Keeping statistics and planning schedules
• Training and assisting narrators
• Issuing and keeping records of items issued

Salary:  R7 085.00 per month CTC for the one year contract
