Diesel Mechanic Serviceman

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science or N2 in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Mechanic)
• Serviceman/Aide Certificate of Competency (Diesel Mechanic)
• 2-3 years relevant experience in underground mining environment will be advantageous

Duties:

• Investigate, diagnose and perform related maintenance and repairs of trackless mobile machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specifications
• Perform inspections in accordance with company standards and procedures and report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the artisan or supervisor
• Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion.
• Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affects production
• Supports the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels
• Ensure adherence to engineering quality standards in maintenance of equipment and machinery
