SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for a Diesel Mechanic Serviceman, to be based in the Brits area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Grade 12 with Maths and Science or N2 in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Mechanic)
Serviceman/Aide Certificate of Competency (Diesel Mechanic)
2-3 years relevant experience in underground mining environment will be advantageous

Duties:

Investigate, diagnose and perform related maintenance and repairs of trackless mobile machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specifications
Perform inspections in accordance with company standards and procedures and report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the artisan or supervisor
Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion.
Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affects production
Supports the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels
Ensure adherence to engineering quality standards in maintenance of equipment and machinery
