Our client in the transportation industry is looking for a Diesel mechanic to joint their Chililabombwe/Kasumbalesa team.
DESCRIPTION:
Diagnosing, repairing and ensuring long-term maintenance on trucks
To carry out the servicing and mechanical/ technical repairs on trucks
Run diagnostic test and interpret results
Identify spares requirements for vehicles
Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
Do fault finding
Attending to Breakdowns
KEY SKILLS:
Be physically fit for heavy work
Outstanding knowledge of auto components and machinery
Possess great mechanical aptitude
Be meticulous and accurate
Able to work in noisy environments
Have great hand-eye coordination
Basic welding skills
Troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Understanding of electrical equipment and installations
The willingness to keep up to date with technological advances in the field
Must be willing to work shifts, overtime, standby and be available for callouts
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12
Trade Certificate
Driving License
Truck driving licence (preferably)
Must have at least 5 years’ experience in the transport workshop environment
