SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Forestry Sector is looking to employ a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in the Mthatha region (45km from Mthatha)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

Must be in possession of a Matric Certificate or equivalent
Must have completed an apprenticeship, be in possession of a trade test and be certified as a Diesel Mechanic
Appropriate experience on forestry equipment such as tygercat, bell and urus machines
Ability to repair and service all vehicles/ mechanical equipment falling within the ambience of the garage workshop.
Knowledge of the Sawmill Industry will be an added advantage
Must have a valid driver’s licence
Must have extensive experience in hydraulic and mechanical computer systems
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be knowledgeable of OHSA

Person Requirements:

Must be prepared to work overtime from time to time.
Must be prepared to do standby duties.
Must be able to communicate at all levels.
Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must be able to work without supervision, be reliable and be accountable.
Must be innovative and safety conscious.
Must be able to work within a team.
Must have integrity.
