Die Assembler

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Olifantsfontain within the aluminium industry requires a die assembler to ensure dies components i.e., plate, body, back-die are properly matched, aligned and assemble together before sending to the press extrusion. A valid Matric is essential.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Die correctors and polishers put dies into racks.
• Leave dies in proper positions.
• Locate feeder rings, back dies and bodies for relevant die plates.
• Ensure correct sizes of cap screws are available.
• Check dowel pins.
• Check cleanliness of die and relevant tooling.
• Polished dies are wheeled into the assembly area on a trolley.
• The dies will not be taken off the rack up until the relevant tooling is found.
• If the die is required for production, it is put on a rack, to be assembled in rings for required presses, if not, the die is stored.
• All dies going to die stores must be sealed once polished and assembled.

• A valid Matric
• Relevant aluminium manufacturing experience
