SUMMARY:
Developer based in Jhb/ Cpt/ Remote

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a developer to join on of our client''s Business Units on one of their financial services platform. The platform facilitates the offering of financial services to clients and the lifecycle management of those products by the client and the financial institution. The platform currently operates in South Africa and provides access to funding that can be tailored to the client needs.

JOB PURPOSE

To implement, guided by the technical delivery roadmap.
To provide guidance on technical / support issues (escalation route).
To ensure quality of product delivery.

Product Environment

Design, develop and continuously deliver new and useful functionality
Maintain and support existing functionality in the production environment
Schedule and execute deployments
Responsibly upgrade existing features, technologies and architecture

Support Environment

Respond timeously to support requests
Troubleshoot and resolve all issues quickly and independently

Meet SLAs for issue resolution

Testing Environment

Implement and execute appropriate testing policy – unit, integration
Manage the QA and UAT process with the client
Drive software Quality
Full understanding of development and build environments.
Full understanding of the source control and branching strategy.
Setup and troubleshooting.
Implement latest / improved practices.
Full understanding of the client platforms to be supported.
Good understanding of the SDLC and supporting tools.
Familiar and comfortable working in Agile environments.

Distributed systems

Security
Devops

Development Languages

Well rounded knowledge of C#, AngularJS, AWS, SQL Server and Web API.
Knowledge of WCF, RabbitMQ and GoCD is advantageous.

Business Acumen

Understand the business drivers and values which are dictating the software
Build a positive rapport with the client
Ability to analyse the business requirements and their technical implications
Produce reasonably accurate timelines for your delivery, being cognisant of the technical challenges

Qualifications

IT related degree / diploma required.

Experience

Minimum 4-5 (Intermediate)/ 6+ (Senior) years in technical IT environment
Full stack experience in software development
Experience in software product development
