POSITION INFO:
DevOps/Platform Infrastructure Engineer required for a data focused tech company in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
This company are product-focused, are well-established (they''ve been running for over 10 years now) and have been going through a strong period of growth for the past 12 months - they have recently brought in some really high-profile clients and are now recognised as one of the leaders in their field.
Their platform supports research - with tangible benefits to healthcare / medicine and very relevant to worldwide events as of late. Working here you will know that all your efforts are making a really positive impact globally.
You''ll be joining an existing DevOps team, and the company are really passionate about adopting DevOps practices and processes across the company. You''ll get to work across multiple different projects (so you''ll never get bored!), as well make key decisions as to how to drive the automation of software deployments.
The company use Microsoft Azure so if you have experience with this, that would be ideal, but as long as you have experience across a cloud platform of some sort, and you think you could add value, they''d be keen to chat!
They can also offer you personalised development plans to achieve what you want to get out of the role and the company, as well as an annual training budget of £500 per person for you to use as you see fit.
You''ll have most of the following skills/experience:
**Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform
**Strong Linux experience
**Containerisation - Docker, Kubernetes etc.
**Configuration management
**A dynamic scripting language - Python, Bash, Ruby Perl etc.
**Some network management experience
The company have offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and have recently downsized the offices, with a plan to move to a mostly/fully remote model, with offices open for people if they would like to come in.
