POSITION INFO:
DevOps Engineer (ideally with some hardware experience) required for a company in the Glasgow area.
The company keep reaching new heights regularly - both in terms of their products and in terms of company growth. They create a range of products in the medical sector (so you get to go home at night feeling good about what you are contributing too!) to tackle some very relevant and current problems faced globally.
You''ll be joining an established DevOps team, who are looking for you to have some experience/exposure to hardware devices, as well as having some more traditional experience with Python. You''ll also don''t need to have bucket loads of DevOps experience - maybe you are more of a QA Engineer who''s got more of the hardware side of experience, and are keen to move into DevOps; or someone more on the infrastructure and support side who''s got an key interest in cloud platforms?
You''ll be involved in making sure software releases are fast and efficient, as well as playing a key part in automating these processes. You''ll be the type of person who is keen to understand the inner workings of the platform, and how you can develop the system to work faster and more reliably.
You''ll ideally have most of the following skills/experience:
**Drive CI/CD principles and pipelines
**Help maintain their product
**Python, Linux and embedded C
**Automation tools such as Chef, Puppet and Ansible
The company are in the process of kitting out a custom-designed office in Lanarkshire for the majority of their technical team to base themselves from, so they are keen for people to be in the office to take advantage of this. Free parking is also available on-site, with plenty of room (no competing for a space!).
Salary-wise the company can offer up to £45,000 for this role, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
This is a fairly diverse DevOps role in a highly techncial company (committed to diversity) who do good and can offer a lot of internal career progression.
