DevOps Engineer with hardware experienced required for a permanent role in the Central Belt.

The Company
This company are at the forefront of integrated technology, they are a Scottish success story who create an interesting and niche product which has never been more relevant; with a focus on stable software deployments to cutting edge hardware. They are at a great stage of their story with an excellent rate of speedy but stable growth.
You will be an integral part of the wider DevOps team with plans to really expand this function to around 10 engineers.
Alongside the DevOps team, the wider software function is nearing 100 heads so you will be surrounded with some of the best technical minds in the area.
There will be a good deal of autonomy in the role (but plenty support when needed) and the opportunity to work within one of the most exciting industries in Scotland.
The Role
The role is very hardware focused role and different to most DevOps roles you''ll see in Scotland. You will be involved in various stages of the development lifecycle to ensure the reliability and speed of Continuous Integration systems.
As the product has both a hardware and a software element, there needs to be a good mix of skills within the team.
You will be working alongside some excellent DevOps Engineers with a good handle on the Software side but we''re ideally looking for those with strong hardware / embedded software skills to really bolster the team.
You will manage the CI / CD tools within the team and really dive into CI tool issues to determine if this is a software, hardware or configuration issue and the best course of action to take.
You
You will be an experienced DevOps Engineer with good knowledge surrounding hardware / embedded software. You will have a degree within Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or something similar.
You will have hands on experience of Continuous Integration and the ability to use API''s.
You will need experience working with electronics hardware too.
The Tech
The technical environment is planned to include around 130 CI rigs in multiple locations across Scotland and further afield.

Location
They''re planning a move into new office space so this role will be based in Lanarkshire with offices in Stirlingshire too.
At the moment, most are working from home and only going on site if necessary. Going forward, the expectation is that this role will be largely office based with some flexible working mixed in. There may be a requirement to visit other sites for specific tasks on the hardware.
Salary
The salary for this role is between the £40,000 to £48,000 mark with good benefits too.
