POSITION INFO:

Design Officer Planner -Cape Town, Northern Suburbs - R20 000 – R25 000 per month

6-Month Contract

Purpose of role:

A hands on approach in the scheduling, monitoring, reporting and planning of Design Office drawing activities.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Planning (Minimum NQF level 4)
• Formal MS Projects Certification
•  

Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in MS projects and Primavera with proven track record of resource loading.
• Computer literacy: MS Projects, MS office, Primavera
• Knowledge of engineering drawings
• Good administrative and communications skills
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting
• Technical/ Engineering background will be advantageous

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare from scratch, project plans with resource loading for Design Office drawings using inputs

form Contract Manager, Engineering Manager, Sales Manager and DO Manager.

• Ensure that project progress is accurately captured and plans updated weekly.
• Interrogate quality of information received from draughts persons regarding progress and completion

duration of drawing packs.

• Ensure that any project scope changes (variation orders) are incorporated into latest project plan.
• Provide DO Manager with a forward view regarding forthcoming work and resource availability.
• Issue written progress reports on timelines.
• Strong willpower to be an independent voice that focuses on the facts ONLY.
