SUMMARY:
Are you looking to further your career within the solar and renewable energy? Then you need to connect with us! Our client within the solar industry is looking for a Design Engineer who will be involved in designing ground-mounted and rooftop PV projects.

POSITION INFO:

Compiling detailed design drawings

Electrical and mechanical design of ground-mounted and/or Rooftop PV projects from the DC PV components, combiner boxes, inverters, solar DBs, AC cable runs, through to grid connection

Commissioning the communications and protection/SCADA systems of PV projects

Uploading and setting up projects in online monitoring portals

Simulation of yields using software such as PVsol or PVsyst

Peer-review of design drawings as required

Setting up tender BOQs, specifications, and tender package for project tendering

Commissioning and construction

Provide site construction support

Complete equipment FAT and SAT testing

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a MV/LV Electrical Engineer within the solar industry

Solar experience (beneficial)

Qualification:

BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Pr Eng - ECSA Registered (beneficial)

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
