SUMMARY:
Our client in the energy & petroleum industry is seeking to employ a Depot Manager to join their team in Caledon Western Cape. The client''s employment equity mandate requires a Female to be employed for this role.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
• Logistics  and Fleet Management – Ensure optimal and economical fleet management practices at all times which involve effective route planning as well as economical dispatching and logistical scheduling

• HSSE Management -Ensure that all operations of your depot comply to all Health & Safety Standards in strict accordance to all relevant legislation (OHS Act) and any other industry specific regulations as prescribed and managing and ensuring that Health Safety, Security and Environmental principles and procedures are implemented

• Stock Control - Ensure effective and accurate stock control of all products entering and leaving the premises 

• Product Procurement and Storage Management - Control inventory and utilize financial data to improve profitability. Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the company. 

• Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments at the  Depot. 

• Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output

• Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures. 

• Staff Management   - Ensure the effective management of all depot staff and establish work schedules, supervise staff, monitor and evaluate performance. • Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments in distribution of goods. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of products. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. 

• Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery and provide technical support where necessary. 

• Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support and facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.

• Manage, plan and support sales, orders and deliveries

• Monitoring and capturing of all depot expenses

• Fully accustom yourself with the Company operating system

• Liaison with management and assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity as well as implementation and management of operational plans. 
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 
1.  Minimum of 5 years industry relevant experience and 3 years in a managerial position

2.  3 Year Qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics or in Operations Management will be beneficial. 

3.  Knowledge of the Petroleum industry will be beneficial

4.  Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management

5.  Knowledge of business and management principles and practices

6.  Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices

7.  Knowledge of the specific area and the surrounding areas

8.  Knowledge of Health Safety, Security and Environmental best practices and procedures

9.  Computer literate

10. Valid Driver’s License
