National concern are looking for a Branch Business Manager / Depot Manager to join their team in their Empangeni branch.  The role entails taking responsibility for the branch income statement, the staff and the performance thereof.  This manager serves as a link between the sales, dispatch and logistics / distribution divisions.  You would be responsible for day to day operations of the branch and interfacing with logistics and distribution in order to ensure timeous loading of the branch trucks for deliveries.  

This individual would need to have a comprehensive understanding of business management as well as supply chain management.  Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in FMCG environment of which 3 must be in a similar role and experience in managing a large staff compliment.  A proven sales and marketing track record essential.

Duties include:

• Stock control
• Branch Management - focusing on sales and merchandising, marketing and distribution
• Service Management - managing service levels and relationship with clients and service providers
• Staff management
• Sales Management
• Overseeing maintenance of buildings, vehicles and equipment.
