POSITION INFO:
Our Durban based client in the FMCG / production field URGENTLY needs a Demonstration / Training Chef with NQF6 qualification to take full responsibility for training and setting up of demonstrations and / or trade shows / exhibitions. The successful candidate must be an immediately available SA citizen with a valid passport able to travel both nationally and internationally.
Non-negotiable Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Diploma in Food Preparation & Cooking / Professional Cookery & Kitchen Management (NQF6)
- 1 year experience as a Chef in a catering & delicatessen environment
- Excellent communication skills (Eng + Afr) - both written and oral
- Able to train, demonstrate & share information with persons from all spheres of life
- High level of planning, organising, leading and controlling skills
- Sense of marketing & event planning
- Able to manage expenses
- FSSC, H & S and First Aid knowledge
- SA Citizen
- Unendorsed driver’s license
- Valid passport
- Able to travel both nationally and internationally
- Immediately available
Responsibilities:
- Full set up for demonstrations
- Full responsibility for all aspects of kitchen
- Full responsibility for all aspects of trade shows / exhibitions
- Responsible for all aspects of H & S
- Training, recording and feed-back to clients and Sales Reps
- Assist clients with recipe adjustments
- Attend store openings / launches, etc.
- Travel both nationally and internationally
