Location: Johannesburg

Position overview:

A multinational healthcare company that operates worldwide under two divisions: Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics has a new opportunity available for a Demand Planning Analyst in their supply chain / demand planning department. One will build sales forecast (instruments, reagents, consumables) in cooperation with the countries in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, which will be used as basis in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).

Manage the supply of Finished Goods (FGs), reagents /consumables, instruments, and packaging Materials (PM) (excluding spare parts). Ensures that these are systematically delivered to local 3PL facilities complete in quantity, in good quality condition, on the most economical and timely basis (Distribution costs, costs of inventory, scrap costs).

The role ensures continuous improvement of sales forecasting processes, systems, and interfaces to distributors.

This position requires national and international travel.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or equivalent (based on professional experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain And Demand Planning
• Expert in SAP/APO module
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office especially Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) hands-on experience   
• Demand forecasting experience
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally as relevant stakeholders are based across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa
