POSITION INFO:

A small company based in Kenilworth, Cape Town, supplying a wide range of high quality, sustainable and eco-friendly goods into the building and décor industry, is looking for a new team member to assist with architectural and specification sales and marketing, as well as associated administrative functions.

This position is 50% sales and 50% admin, but the focus is on external sales. The position requires multi-tasking. Duties include calling on architects and designers, research and networking to find new clients and customers, handling customer telephone and email enquiries (sales), processing orders and invoicing customers, customer database management, assisting with planning, administration and execution of marketing activities, and general office management.

Requirements:

• Matric is essential
• Diploma/certificate advantageous
• 3-5 years experience in external sales, preferably in the décor industry
• Energetic, motivated, a "self-starter" with initiative to plan and execute own work, but also a team player
• Very good people skills. Outgoing and confident
• Methodical, self-disciplined, organised
• Good computer skills. Good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Company communications are in English, but fluency in Afrikaans would be useful
• Relevant experience and good references are essential.
• Own car essential
