Debtors and Creditors Clerk

SUMMARY:
My client is a successful property company, who manages a portfolio of commercial, residential and industrial properties, including sectional titles and home owners associations.

POSITION INFO:

My client, a successful property company, is looking for a full-time Debtors and Creditors Clerk with basic accounting and administrative skills to join their team, in their Kuils River office. The ideal candidate will be someone who strives to achieve excellence, easily understand different types of management software and can work well in a team, preferably with experience in the property sector. Experience in MDA Property Software (MRI Property Central) or any other similar program and WeConnectU would be an advantage

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

• Cashbook
  • Capture and allocate data from trust and client bank accounts
  • Prepare owner payments and calculate commission
• Invoicing
  • Bill recoveries
  • Generate invoices
  • Attend to invoice queries
  • Prepare debit order schedule
• Accounts payable
  • Review payment schedule and invoices and ensure all authorisations and supporting documents are in place
  • Upload for payment authorisation to banking profile
• Audits
  • Assist with preparation of documents required for annual trust account audit

Requirements:

• At least 10 years’ experience (preferably in the property sector) in similar type position or minimum 5 years’ experience with post matric qualification in accounting.
• Proven proficiency in MS Office
• Good numeric skill
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional telephone manner
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
