Debtors Controller

SUMMARY:
Durban. Widely known global fashion brand seeks competent Debtors Controller to join their Finance team. Pastel Partner, strong Excel skills, and solid Accounting experience essential.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Receipting and allocating of payments to correct debtors accounts in Pastel
• Working hand in hand with Bookkeeper on Bank recons
• Managing the integration from ERP system into Pastel
• Raising ad hoc invoices / credit notes in Pastel when needed
• Liaising with clients on collections
• Creating new customers on Sync and Pastel when necessary
• Preparing / maintaining multiple Excel internal schedules for reporting to management team (daily, monthly, weekly)
• Managing workings of bad debts / returns and passing provisions once approved
• Reconciling accounts where necessary
• Month end closure entries
• Year end audit work for auditors where necessary

Requirements:

• Good communication, e-mail writing, and etiquette
• Initiative and willingness to adapt
• Ability to take and follow through with instructions
